Description
Tapentadol is a centrally acting opioid analgesic for treatment of moderate to severe pain. FDA approved on Nov 20, 2008.
The immediate-release formulation of tapentadol is indicated for the relief of moderate to severe acute pain. The long-acting formulation serves as a continuous, around-the-clock analgesic that is indicated for the relief of moderate to severe chronic pain or neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
Tapentadol is used for the treatment of moderate to severe pain for both acute (following injury, surgery, etc.) and chronic musculoskeletal pain. It is also specifically indicated for controlling the pain of diabetic neuropathy when around-the-clock opioid medication is required.

Within 10-15 min pain is gone for good. I suffer from chronic headaches/migraines my whole life… it’s my life saver. It’s my best friend for sure.

YES! This is my choice medication. I have a lot of joint pain which I deal with without any drugs, but when it gets too bad Tapentadol works well and works fast, and let’s just say when I injured my back it was a life saver. I just recently got burned on my leg (at a Spa, not very relaxed). I’ve had minor swelling and Tapentadol has reduced the swelling/pain. Would not recommend taking it on an empty stomach… If you’re healthy enough to take it I would definitely recommend it. Works just great.

Tried everything to help with pain over the weekend. Took Tapentadol and within half hour was able to function again without the pain. Would recommend to anyone suffering chronic pain. Tip: It’s the Extended Release version!

Have severe lower back pain, have been on various pain pills, and opiates finally I was prescribed tapentadol twice a day in the a.m. and p.m. and it works quick. I have been on this program for about 5 years now with no side effects and the pain is now controlled.
